Breath & Body
The breath is a bridge between our inner and outer. When we surrender to the breath, we open doorways
into new pathways for healing.
We now know that our bodies hold the imprint of our lived experience, as well as the legacy of the inherited patterns of our ancestors. We hold so much. More than ever we need safe spaces to be held and let go, to feel, to express, to process and heal.
I’m trained in Holosomatic Body Therapy, which combines conscious connected breathing with somatic practices, touch and energy work. Body and mind are able to relax, open and release held tensions and trauma, and connect to deeper parts of the subconscious revealing new ways of seeing and understanding.
Breath and body work sessions last 2 hours and include a preparatory call and integration support. This is often the first piece of work I will do with someone to open the mind and body and lay the ground for deeper explorations.
What is Conscious Connected Breathwork?
Conscious connected breathwork involves breathing in a continuous, circular flow, with no gap between the in-breath and the out-breath.
After a few minutes, you may notice tingling, warmth, or light-headedness as your system starts to respond. As you stay with the rhythm of the breath, your inner landscape often begins to shift: habitual thinking may quieten, emotions can surface and move, and you might experience a sense of spaciousness, flashes of memory, visions and insights.
Within a Breath & Body session, the active breathing phase usually lasts around 45–50 minutes. You may breathe continuously for that time, or I may guide you through two or more “rounds”, with periods of softer, natural breathing in between to support integration.
Conscious connected breathing is an activating practice. It gently brings more energy into the body so that held patterns can come into awareness and begin to unwind. As the nervous system gradually re-regulates, many people report feeling lighter, calmer, more present in their bodies, and more connected to their own inner guidance.
